In order to use the European CME-CPD Academy website and access the services you must be a registered user. See also our Terms and Conditions. You are asked for personal information that helps to identify you which is required for the purposes of taking part in accredited programmes, and additional optional information about your areas of interest that helps us to present information that may be of interest to you.
As the website is hosted and managed in the United Kingdom all personal data held by European CME-CPD Academy needs to comply with the Data Protection Act 1998. The registered Data Controller for all personal information held by European CME-CPD Academy is Siyemi Limited, incorporated in England and Wales, 5883995, registered office: The University of Manchester Innovation Centre (UMIC), North Campus Incubator, Arches 28-30, Sackville Street, Manchester, M60 1QD, UK. The Data Protection Act 1998 allows you to see information held about you and have it corrected if it is wrong. European CME-CPD Academy and the registered Data Controller are under obligation to hold all personal information securely and use it fairly, to make sure the information is accurate and kept up to date.
Other than as part of the CME accreditation process where completion data, such as information about the certificates issued, are sent to the CME accreditation authorities as required by their individual policies, personally identifiable information will never be used for marketing purposes or passed on to any third party without your express written permission.
Detailed data on your activities will be held for at least the required length of time as stipulated by the CME accrediting body (usually 3 years from the time of completion of an educational activity) and will only be held on the central server, and never on a portable device such as a laptop, CD or memory stick.
If you would like a written report (in addition to the downloadable and printable certificates as generated by the website) for the purposes of validating your activity or substantiating further claims of activity please contact us. For reporting and statistical purposes user data may be used which is de-personalised and anonymised.
We will make every effort to notify you of any significant changes to this privacy statement where it affects the way we use the data we hold on you or your activity, minor changes will be flagged on the website and appear in this section.
